EHealth Ontario C.E.O. Greg Reed will get an $81,000 bonus this year, on top of his $339,000 salary.
Staff at the agency have launched a class-action suit to get back promised bonuses that Health Minister Deb Matthews cancelled last year.
The McGuinty government wants all public sector workers to take a two-year wage freeze to help lower Ontario's $15 billion deficit, and told managers to lead by example.
But Matthews office says Reed's 25 per cent bonus must by paid under the terms of his contract.
