LONDON, Ont. -- London police say a 23-year-old man is dead after a stabbing in the city's downtown core.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing (on Richmond St. between King St. and Dundas St.) at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

The victim was allegedly suffering from multiple stab wounds when he was found by paramedics inside the Grinning Gator Bar and Grill.

Police say the man died from his injuries shortly after arriving at hospital.

A man in his 20s is in custody in connection with the stabbing and police say they believe the incident wasn't random.

No names have been released and no charges have been announced.
