Two Kitchener residents suffered what police are calling “major injuries” in a T-bone crash south of Stratford.

The collision occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the intersection of Perth Road 112 and Line 29.

According to the Perth County OPP, a car westbound on Line 29 crossed directly into the path of an oncoming northbound car.

The westbound car was facing a stop sign, while the northbound car had the right of way through the intersection.

As a result, the 29-year-old Kitchener woman driving the westbound car was charged with failure to yield to traffic.

She and her passenger – a 34-year-old woman, also from Kitchener – were taken to hospital for treatment.

Also taken to hospital was the 75-year-old Tavistock woman driving the northbound car, although her injuries were said to be minor.
