One person has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Waterloo’s university district.

Waterloo Region police say a 20-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with “various criminal and drug related offences” in connection with Saturday’s robbery near King Street and University Avenue.

During the robbery, a man had a bag of groceries stolen from him after he was approached by two strangers, one of whom allegedly had a knife.

The 20-year-old man was arrested Wednesday.
